General Board / Hyperlink navigation to diagram

I recently upgraded from a VERY old version of EA.  In that version, clicking on a diagram hyperlink opened a new tab to that diagram.  My new version (17.1) replaces the diagram on the current tab with the new one (but allows you to navigate back to the source diagram).  Is there a way to change the behavior back to opening a new tab for the new diagram?

Ditto the request!  A free-form line draw tool would greatly enhance the usefulness of the whiteboard feature.  I would much rather have the drawing functionality integrated in EA than drawing in Visio and importing as a bitmap, for example.

Doh!  I was trying to drag and drop the classes onto the new logical diagram icon within my new package rather than onto the package icon.  My bad.

I started a new project and now want to move my class drawing elements to a package.  I cannot drag the elements to the package within Project Browser.  I have tried locking and unlocking the diagram with no difference.  What else to try?
