Suggestions and Requests / Re: C Reverse Engineer
« on: August 03, 2004, 06:00:46 am »
Ok, I have executed some few tests with a C code I got...
EA imports only the classes of the code, contained in the .h file. So it hasn't imported anything from my file, because it had any class.
If someone had tested it too, I'd be glad in knowing the results...

Hi!
Can anyone tell me whether it is possible to re-engineer C code? no C++, no c#...only "pure" C...
thanx!

Suggestions and Requests / Re: Links to another diagrams and elements
« on: July 23, 2004, 08:09:44 am »
Thanx!
I'd really test it if I hadn't have the following problem: I had the EA 4.0 trial installed, then I installed the EA 4.1. But I had a bug with SCC integration, and then tried again to install the version 4.0. BUT  >:( it just doesn't work anymore...  :-[
When I can make it work, then I'll keep on testing the software...
but I have some questions:
1) If i define an element as a composite element, then isn't it possible to double-click and see the properties anymore?
2) Isn't it possible to make the elements to become hyperlinks? FOR EXEMPLE: I have an actor in my Use Case diagram and when I double-click it, the Sparx home page is opened...
Thanx!!

Suggestions and Requests / Links to another diagrams and elements

It would be nice if EA coul make the elements, such as Use Cases, Actors etc to become links, not only to URL or file but also to other diagrams and to other elements. In this way, it would be easy to navigate through the model.

General Board / Reference data
« on: October 06, 2004, 06:52:55 am »
Is there a way of resynchronizing the Reference Data? I mean, I know we can import/export by XML files, but it would be nice to use a feature that automatically synchronizes it when I have teams working in the same project, using differente .eap files...

Has anyone here ever used the Get Latest Version feature, or the Reload Diagram?
I'm integrating EA with MKS and some problems showed-up concerning these features...anyone here who uses multi-user features with EA could help me!

I always get fast replies when I report bug using the bug-report page...I never had to wait too long for my doubts to be answered...maybe you could report it as a bug, i don't know...
luck!

Thanx!

Thank you very much  ;D

I need a way to add automatically in the Code Templates Editor the language I have created in another project...do you think it is possible?

General Board / Exporting new languages to other projects
« on: September 12, 2004, 04:24:05 am »
Hallo all!
I still haven't given up of generating C code with EA...
So I thought maybe I could configure C as a new language...
I have added it as a new product, and my colleagues will configure the templates. But there is a problem: I couldn't find an option to export this definition to other projects. If I define a complete new language, is it possible to use it only in 1 project?? Can't I export it?
Thanx, g'day!
