Suggestions and Requests / Font size on 'Labels'.
« on: November 15, 2012, 09:01:18 pm »
Since bold, colour etc., are available for label text, why is text size not? It would be a major plus if you could increase the text size on a label irrespective of screen size or resolution.

We use the tool for communication and documentation and normally try to fix diagrams to one page. The ability to resize text on a label to make it legible on a busy diagram would be a major plus?

The maintenance of ERDs and Class diagrams and usage thereof require being able to change the font size on connectors to make them legible and the usage of colour on objects and background that carries to printouts and other output formats. (jpg, bmp, gif)

Any problems with Windows 7 and Java JRE 1.7.11? We move to Java 7 soon. Currently on EA v9.3.

General Board / Re: Question on XMI transfer between two models

Thank you Geert transferred again with all objects in the same package and it works! However having 2k classes it's a right royal pain in the posterior to have to move the objects and then re-file them for a transfer as well as a report. :'( Thanks again, nice weekend, John

Yes, of course that's exactly how I did it. I should have been morte specific. Question still exists though. They apparently used xmi1.1 and I used xmi2.1 but I've just transferred again with 1.1 - same result!?

General Board / Question on XMI transfer between two models

I transferred a class diagram from a model created elsewhere. The classes were all transferred but only four of eleven associations were transferred. Colours, icons etc., were fine. Can anyone suggest a reason? :-/

Do we have a list of reported bugs/changes to the latest version?
This would greatly assist in deciding when to move to a new version. :-* We do not require to move every time and with numerous users and applications any help in deciding when a version is reasonably stable is greatly appreciated. ::)

Hi Stefan,

If my glossaries are on the model project browser I can edit/report them as I choose. In the Glossary I'm limited to changing type, name and definition. Say I want to add owner or add a sort. Its difficult to explain!  :-/ Let me come back after some thought. Thanks for discussing, John

Thanks Stephan, that's a possibility but then I have to ask the question: Why bother? What are the advantages over a Glossary model using packages - technical glossary, testing glossary, business term glossary etc., Am I missing something obvious here?

Yeah, thanks Graham but I realised that; its getting the information out of EA to Excel or Word or whatever I require. Better example perhaps are test cases which I can import into EA but getting them out again?

It would often be helpful to extract entered objects to a spread sheet or text object without having to create an HTML/RTF report. A good example is an added Glossary; is this possible?

Can the flowchart shapes be added to the images file?
