Suggestions and Requests / Re: Show Parent Attributes & Operations

You are able to show any inherited attributes and operations in EA.  Select the element(s) in question, go to the menu item 'Elements->Set Feature Visibility' and choose what you are after in the 'Inherited and Realized Features' section.

In the Project View window, select the Package/View/Object that you want to change.  At the top of the Project View window there is a button for Code Generation.  Click on the arrow to the right to display the Code Generation menu, and choose the option entitled ResetSource Code Language.

General Board / Re: BUG: XMI Import Multiplicity (0..*) Lost
« on: October 20, 2004, 05:21:11 pm »
Hi,

Currently you can export and import a 0..* labelled multiplicity from an EA model to an EA model using XMI 1.1.  I have confirmed this with tests here, so if you have a situation where this does not occur I would be very interested to know about it.

However when importing from other tools, or using XMI 1.2, you can only explicitly import 0..* if that association end has a rolename specified.  However if no multiplicity is explicitly specified, then 0..* is the default in EA anyway.

To summarise: While not shown, the multiplicity is still set correctly. It will not be shown on the diagram unless you also specify the role of the association end.

Uml Process / Re: question about export package to XMI

All attribute information should be present in an XMI export. Which information in particular are you missing?

AndroMDA works fine with Enterpice Architect, probably you have to transform the XMI slightly (EA does not use standard stereotype export format IIRC).

As of version 4.5 of EA the XMI 1.2 export should support AndroMDA, including stereotypes.  If you're experiencing any problems please submit a bug report and we'll definitely look into them.
