Suggestions and Requests / Relationship matrix bug

1. When I establish a realization relationship from the the GUI element to the UseCase, the relationship matrix doesn't show this relationship.

2. If I change the source and/or target, the beforeset label remains in the box, and the new description written over the old one.

Suggestions and Requests / The package content doesn't modifiable

Hi,

I put a package, containing UseCases on the UseCase diagram, that set to show the package content.

After modifying the package, the content doesn't change on the diagram.

If I create a new package, and move the content of the beformentioned items to the new package, on seems empty on the diagram.

I found the workaround: export and reimport the package.

I can't close, or set the autohide property on the relationships window. When I reloaded the 778 build, it works fine.

General Board / Error in build 800 Can't save scenario

If I modify a UseCase scenario, created with the previous build, I get an DAO.Field (3421) Data type conversion error.

Is there any workaround, or have to reinstall the previous version?

Thanks Simon,

I checked the 'Show status colors on diagrams', and now it's working as expected.

In previous builds the new versions remembered the previous build's settings.

The sequential diagram problem still exists.

In the EA latest build

1. The items with status do not show colors
2. In the sequential diagrams created with the previous build the subroutines shifted from the lifelines

Does enybody experienced the same behaviour?

Answer to my own question (maybe sombody else has the same problem):

As with every object,

1. have to push the ctrl button while move the collaboration from the project browser to the diagram

2. In the form, that appears have to set the "as instance" checkbox

3. In the diagram have to set the name of the collaboration occurence as like

General Board / How to add collaboration occurence element?

In the EA examlpes is a Composite structure diagram "Brokered".

I'm wondering, how the collaboration occurence elements (WholeSale:Sale & retail:Sale) was added to the diagram? They are instances of the "Sale" collaboration element, but I didn't find the collaboration occurence element, and I can't imagine, how to "inherit" them from the collaboration element.

Interestingly, they are only in the diagram, but they are not in the project browser.

General Board / Interface methods in the class - bug or feature?

Hi,
I have a VB2005 class library project, that contains a class and an interface. When I import a source directory (code engineering/import source directory), on put all the Interface's methods into the class.

The interface method's names differ from the implementer method name.

I wonder is it a bug, or feature?

General Board / Diagram refreshing bug in mdg link and VS2005

I have a linked EA package to VS2005 project.

I changed the diagram in EA, and despite the synchronization or forward engineering, the changes doesnt't show up in VS2005 when I try to watch it via EA project explorer. When I switch back to the EA, the changes are there however. This behaviour I experienced with seguential diagram after adding a new object to them. Has anybody else experienced the same problem, or I missed anything?

I tried to create a read/write porpertyin VB.net, but on can't create the property set method on the diagram.

Does anybody experoenced this behavior, or it is Me who missed something.

General Board / Is it possible to copy a part of the seq. diagram?

Hi,

I have a sequence diagram, and some part of them I have to use in another sequence diagram.

So it would be very convenient, to mark out the needed part, create a new sequence diagram for that part, and reference them from the others.

Is it possible with EA?

If I try to copy the elements, I can't assign the messages.
