Suggestions and Requests / Highlight foreign object default value

I would like to be able to set the default value for the 'Highlight foreign object' option in the diagram properties.
The default value for this is 'ticked' and this can be really annoying in the analysis phase.

I'm sorry if the request has already been posted. I haven't found anything about this within the 300 last days.

SPOUT will now contain a diagram and the minimal set of elements EA considered are "Owned" by the diagram

I want to be sure I got it right. You mustn't delete the copied element in SPOUT ? Overwise, you diagram copy will be emptied ?
After some iterations, you SPOUT is full of unwanted elements, but you don't care because you're in the WIP view, right ?

WIP is a view that I suggest everyone add to their model repository where you do the actual work of modelling.  Its the draftsmans desk.  When the model is complete then migrate the finished product to the proper pace in your formal model structure.

Well, I was used to work in a completly different model to try things in EA and reproduce the right procedure in my real model file. I'll try the WIP view.

I'd like to be able to copy diagrams without duplicating the diagram elements.
That is when I draw use case scenarios with sequence diagrams. I'm used to copy the nominal scenario and modify it into an alternate scenario. At this state, I usally have only two lifelines (the user and the system). When I've copied the nominal scenario many times, I find myself with many instances of the system lifeline in the use case where I only need one lifeline linked to all the diagrams.
The deep copy provides the ability to copy every elements in a diagram. A light copy could just link the new diagram elements to the existing elements.

I'd like that EA provides the ability to rename a class or interface (or whatever) throughout the whole project including the generated source files.
Indeed, if one rename a class with EA HMI, this will only change the class declaration, and every other call of the class will refer to the former name, and the project won't compile.

A first step could be to ckeck the state machine itself. No dead-end/unreachable state.
Even this is a big piece to deal with. UML defines many types of transitions, with or without guards.

A great feature missing in EA is the ability to run state machine in order to check the model consistency. This function should provide executed sequence diagrams to be compared with the specified sequence diagrams.
This function is particularly useful for system modeling.

Are you guys really saying one can generate RTF documentation including Relationship matrixes ? Because, I didn't think this was possible. Now, I'm exporting matrixes in .csv file, importing them in excel, then copy/paste the tables in the RTF document.
If there is a way to automatize this, I want to know.

Sorry, I'll try to be a bit more specific.
This is for doc generation mainly.
Let's say I've made a use cases vs requirements matrix, the matrix will display much more columns than rows since there generally are more requirements than use case (or is it the other way around ?). This will be difficult to include in a portrait stylesheet document. As I'm a bit lazy, I'd find it useful to have a simple function to change my matrix in a requirements vs use cases matrix.

Just name the diagram after the scenario. That should be obvious then

Indeed, that's what I'm doing.

It's not a kind of a real link, though.

That's my point. A real link would prevent gaps when renaming scenarios or diagrams.

You can move it inside the UC in the project view. That would have a similar effect.

Are you sure of that ? Because, my seq diagrams already are inside use cases, and I don't see anything in the scenario tab unless I manualy create new scenarios for the use case.
I am using EA 6.1.788

I'd like that sequence diagrams linked to a use case with a specific link (let's say "is scenario") appear in the scenario tab of the use case property. As it is the case with requirements in the require tab.

With Firefox (this works with ie), right click on the link and choose, open in a new window or in a new tab.
