Hi,

I guessed it was an available operation on the Repository interface or on Element|Diagram to pop up the property dialog for the given item.

Is this possible at all with the available API functionality?

Ok, thanks for the feedback.

Hi,

When an Artifact element from another package is present in a diagram, and the Show Namespace option is
set on the Diagram, the Package name is both prepended to the element name, and shown below the element
 as (from PackageXX).

If I also enable the Fully Qualified Namespace option, the Package name is not prepended to the element name,
but the text in the parenthesis shows the fully qualified namespace.

How can I turn off this annoying "feature"?  >:(

 I'm currently on EA 11.1.1111

Found it - cheers!

LOL at this text from the EA documentation:

Quote
This low-level property returns an array providing information about the contents of the PDatax fields; these database fields are not documented and developers must gain understanding of these fields through their own endeavors to use this property.

Ok, can I assume that I have to create a custom SQL-based query to fetch those values?

Hi,

I'm exploring the EA API and are currently struggling with finding the message sequence label (1, 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 2, 2.1 etc.).

I'm fetching the DiagramLinks from the current Communication diagram, and retrieve the corresponding Connectors, but
the only thing I can find that are related is the SequenceNo property on the Connector instance (which is just and integer sequence 0,1,2,3...).

 Any pointers/hint?

Hi,

Is it possible to derive from the stereotypes om the three UML analysis entities - boundary, control and entity?

I'm having difficulties finding the stereotypes to derive from in the profile I'm trying to create.

Given that they are available, is it possible to "overlay" the default visual element with additional information with ShapeScript?
I.e. can I use DrawParentShape or DrawNativeShape or something?

Ok,

This was as easy as including more than one toolbox profile into the MTS file :-)

 Solved.

Hi,

How can I create a hierarchy, such that I have a sub menu that has the name of my profile and that holds all
 the toolbox profiles?

General Board / Creating Action Pins in EA 12.1
« on: March 11, 2016, 04:08:41 am »
Hi,

The documentation states that:

Quote
To add an Action Pin to an Action, right-click on the Action to display the context menu and select the New Child Element | Action Pin menu option. (You can also assign Action Pins, to define specific properties of the Action.)

But I can only find Activity Parameter, Expansion Node, Object Node, Attach Note and Attach Constraint on that menu.

Is it the first one that I am supposed to use?

General Board / Element - "Is specification" check box

Hi,

Can anyone explain what this check box does? What is a specification in this context?

 Regards
