I have struggled with the same issue. You just have to change the sql_mode in the mysqld.ini file.

Very bad... i am still in contact with ea support, but theres no solution at present...
Is there anybody with working charts?
If i got news i will post it here..

Have problem with charts, there is no chart rendered, not in properties, not on the diagram, and also not in the documentation.
I have EA 12.1 Business Edition, running on Windows7 64Bit..

Can u help me?
