General Board / Re: Export diagram to Plant UML format

Has anyone experimented using this technique for ArchiMate diagrams in EA?

Ah, good point, Geert. I found basetypes in the MDG and my script now seems to be working! Big thanks to Geert and Sunshine!

Due to reclassification of software in our Service Management system, some of my (ArchiMate 3) ArchiMate_ApplicationComponent elements will need to change to ArchiMate_ApplicationInterface, ArchiMate_ApplicationProcess, or ArchiMate_DataObject elements. I'd like to do this using a spreadsheet of the affected elements as an input to a VBscript. I've discovered that simply updating the element.Stereotype won't work. I've also tried resetting the element.Type and element.Stereotype and then updating the element, but this results in some unusual behavior depending on what type of element it's being changed to. Has anyone done something similar with consistently good results? P.S. I do understand that certain relationships will need to change (like Access).

Ian, would you be willing to share your script? Did you find it necessary to change both ClientEnd and SupplierEnd? I'm finding that Aggregation relationships created under an older version of EA need to be updated.

I have the EA Professional version which doesn't include the TOGAF 9.1 MDG. I downloaded the trial, but now can't figure out how to install it. Putting the TOGAF 9.1 folder in the MDGTechnology folder under EA didn't help. I suspect I'm missing some XML but where is it?

Automation Interface, Add-Ins and Tools / Jama, Tasktop, and Sparx EA

Does anyone have experience integrating requirements from Jama to Tasktop to Sparx EA? If these requirements also contain information about Data Objects and Applications, and the relationships between them, would it be possible to create/update an ArchiMate model in Sparx EA?

I am interested too. I'd like to be able to identify who is making the change, when they made it, and what elements or connectors they changed.
