Dear Geert, Dear Uffe,
I used RefGUID and RefGUIDList type of tagged values. I was thinking about having graphical connector (instead of referencing objects during modeling) with auto-updated tagged values in both source and target objects. It would help me with exporting theses data with CSV type of files.

Unfortunately I do not have enough knowledge for building such advanced tool :-( Also having this information shown with the use of ShapeScripts will not help me with my problem.

Thank You for Your kind and helpful answers. I wonder, if EA will do such functionality in next releases. It would be great.

General Board / Target object name as a source object tagged value

Hi All,
Is it possible to create tagged value that is updated, based on the connected objects?

Example:
stereotype "class_01" connected with "class_02" by the relationship "relationship".
class_01 has tagged value TARGET - that is updated with the name of class_02 object when it is connected.

Is it simple or hard to implement?
PLS help.

I have found everything in EAExample model.
Unfortunately in 14.1 version ValueType property is not supported, and the model has to be rewritten.

Hi,
Does anyone have an example Pendulum model from the website?

I do not know how to model and simulate equations refered with the book.
m * der(vx) = - (x/L) * F
der(x) = vx

Hi,
I want to set my own GUID for newly created objects.
I am exporting with the of CSV file, deleting objects with defined references.
When importing to new project connections between objects are lost.

The question is - how to set my OWN GUID when creating objects during CSV import.

Hi,
I would like to create MDG Technology (EA 14 Ultimate). I cannot find this: (while in 12 works perfectly)

"2. Export your Profile by right-clicking the parent Package of this Diagram in the Project Browser and select 'Save Package as UML Profile...' This will create an .xml file that will be used later on when generating your MDG Technology file."

Pls help.

General Board / Matrix specification - cannot see own "Types" and "Link types"

Hi,
I upgraded to EA 14 Professional.
I worked with EA 12 previously (Ultimate).

I created own MDG technology. I am using plenty of matrix specifications for my models, created with own meta-models (MDG).

I opened model and cannot see own matrix specifications content, i.e. during creation of Matrix Profile cannot see my own "Type:" and "Link Type:".

I strongly believe there is something to configure in EA 14 environment. Please help.

I found that.
In newest EA one can find this option in:
1. Configure Tab
2. Transfer
3. Export Reference Data
4. Select 'Code, DDL, Transformation & CSV Templates' (I think while I have a Desktop Edition tested, there is only CSV available).

Hello!
I have created couple of CSV specification for improvement of data flow from users to model.
Once I have started new model/project I found I cannot use CSV specification I have created.

One solution is to save me project as new one and clean everything already modelled, but it should me something smarter - I strongly believe in that :-)

Please, help!

Hi All,
Is it possible to show linked (Association, Generalization, others) classes on Class diagram.
Example:
I have Class1, Class2, type class.
I am linking them with Association connector.

I want to display only Class1 on diagram.
Is it possible to display (in the similar way as tags, attributes or operations) case that Class is linked with Class1?
Do I need to do some extra programming?

Issue solved,
When creating tagged values groupings extend different Class metaclasses, for different grouping scheme based on the same pool of tagged values. When created new grouping scheme then synchronize stereotypes in normal way.
