Bugs and Issues / EA does not start due to OS authorization issues
« on: March 21, 2019, 08:43:21 pm »
When trying to start EA and selecting "Add Key" at the license management dialog, the following error is being displayed: "Enterprise Architect: The system cannot contact the domain controller to serve the authentication request" (https://imgur.com/6AO7F3n). After removing any relevant entry from the windows credential manager, the error message changed slightly: "Enterprise Architect: The user name and password is incorrect" (https://imgur.com/52Yne7Q).
When ignoring the errors and selecting the shared key store file, I finally get an "access is denied" error (https://imgur.com/8gK43YG). However, when going to the file with windows explorer the file can be accessed and looking at the file properties, the access control seems to be setup correctly.
Any ideas what's going on here and how it can be resolved?
Thanks,
Ulrich
Note: Not sure if this is related in any way. We recently had a change in our ActiveDirectory infrastructure. The system as well as the users have moved to a new AD domain.
Environment: Windows 10 (1809), EA 12.1
