Hello, i could not find this issue in the forum.
EA 1527

I created a diagram in order to navigate in my model similar to a table of content. In this diagram i dragged my favorites diagrams as  "Navigation Cell".

Later I changed the name of this diagram inside the project browser. Unfortunately this renaming was not updated in my diagram, where I inserted it before.

How can I update all nameings?

currently i am working on different Model Architectures in EA. I would like to have all Models in one file, so I imagine having for each model a root model in the project browser.

But in addition to this I would like to have only one root model or only some packages available for other users.

How can this be realized?

Uml Process / Interface Proxy Port Modeling

Hello,

following image is created in the PTC Modeler:



How can I associate a Proxy Port in EA? If I do so, EA will associate a Part to the Proxy Portz, which is not allowed in the SysML Spec. Proxy Ports can be only associated to Ports.

I am able to give these Proxy Ports a Type "InterfaceBlock", but this will not be vissible as association in the BDD diagram as shown in the above picture. Is there a handicap of EA?

Is this a bug in EA?

Now, somehow it works. Magic - I dont know, why.

But still my <<publish>> property is not visible, even so :properties is enabled in the compartment view. You need lots of patience to work with EA

Thanks, some examples

1) I am not able to list these Properties as shown in my bottom picture. Or this option :properties is not available. Only after some restarts of EA, it will be. I do not want them as box visualized. It is the same block, same properties same procedure:







2) I m looking for a solution two add two properties called subscribe: String1, String2

SYSML
I ve got a block_1 in a BDD. Added some propertie_1 to it by drag&drop.

Now i created an IBD, enable the visibility in Features/Parts and Properties.

Now my propertie_1 is visible as "box" insight the block_1. Than I delete them, because I want them to be visible as list below :properties. This function is enable in the Compartment Visibility of block_1.

1) What I dont understand, that this is not working all the time? I do not have this Compartment Visibility :properties available as option. What can I do? I even restartet my model, which cannot be a solution anyway.

2) I added an Initial value to the propertie_1. Can I have a list of strings visible in the Initial_value? I tried with <memo>, but did not help in this case.

I had been reading that flow ports are not used anymore. There are only proxy and full ports, right?

How is it with the use of flow properties?

Do you use flow properties or properties for <<item flow>>?

Thanks Geert,

I created a block or a Property in my sysml BDD Diagram. Than I created a requirement which points to this block, so that I know, that this block satisfies the requirement.

Now I would like to create the Specify Table, where all requirements are listed in a table view. What I miss is, that I cannot see if a requirement is already satisfied in the model.

I was hoping that EA helps me with this, cause it already got this link <<satisfiedby>>.

SO the only solution is to create a tag, right?

Hi,

thanks for your explanation. I've tried it and it works:
- Create one or more Links of type <<ItemFlow>> (from SysML Relationships)
- Don't add conveyed items to <<ItemFlow>>
- For every Link <<ItemFlow>> fill out the TaggedValue "ItemProperty" with one property
- Add a connector
- Right Click on the connector, advanced, InformationFlow realized
- Add the needed InformationFlows (every contains one property)
- And EA shows the connector according to SysML specification (with the (item)properties)

No easy task.

Helmut, really without your help I dont know what to do.

Is there  a possibility to set the connector back to the itemflows? I need to do some changes.

This is still a problem in V13. I am trying to implement the Water Distiller example in Chapter 16 of the Practical Guide to SysML book (Iss 2 so SysML 1.3). This is a showstopper as you can't create an Item Flow item than can be allocated to from an object flow. I want to be able to map between logical model object flows and physical model items flows, e.g. a real-world value like temperature in the logical model is represented by a sensor voltage in the physical model.

I don't have the book so can you describe the diagram please?
