General Board / Importing Attributes using Microsoft Excel
« on: March 11, 2022, 04:02:15 am »
Hi,

I am trying to use an "out-of-the-box" method for creating attributes of elements using Excel and the Microsoft Office Add-In. However, when I try to import either 1) new attributes of an existing element, or 2) update attributes of an existing element, or 3) a new element with attributes, the import fails. In case 3, the import is able to create the parent element but is NOT able to create the parent element's attributes. Currently, my excel file captures the following information:

Name: of Parent Element and Attribute
Notes: of Parent Element and Attribute
Stereotype: of Parent Element and Attribute
ObjectType: of Parent Element and Attribute
Type: for Attribute_Type
ELEMENT NAME: for Attribute's Parent Element Name

Does anyone know why the import is failing to create the parent element's attributes? Can you not create element attributes using Microsoft Excel?

Thanks,
Stevie

General Board / HTML Exports from Enterprise Architect
« on: March 01, 2022, 05:38:18 am »
Hi,

I am only able to view HTML exports of Enterprise Architect models in Internet Explorer. When I try and open the HTML export in Chrome or Edge it never loads. Given that Internet Explorer is "retiring" on June 15, 2022, is there anything that's going to be done to ensure HTML exports work in other Web Browsers?

Thanks,
Stevie

General Board / Typing Custom Stereotype's Tag Values with Classes
« on: December 08, 2020, 03:40:54 pm »
Hi,

Is it possible to type a custom stereotype's attributes with a model element, such as a Class object that exists in that Project Browser?

Scenario: I am making a custom profile that defines custom stereotypes and custom attributes. I am typing some attributes with primitive data types (int, char, etc.) and some attributes with metaclasses (class, activity, etc.). When I import my custom profile to my project I am able to apply my stereotypes to its intended model elements (in my case the stereotypes extend from classes). However, I am unable to populate the stereotype's attribute with a model element, such as a class. When I open the objects properties, I see the attribute in its Tags, however I have no way to tie the value of that Tag to a model element (a class). Is there a way to do this?

Thanks,
Stevie
