General Board / Re: Version 16 release date estimation?
« on: January 27, 2022, 08:43:10 pm »
Working as a mine sweeper? Very nice.

Since years now I lag behind new EA versions for good reasons. Hasn't been that way ever since but has grown to good custom now. And no: I have no idea. It comes when it comes. And maybe a year later I'll install that new version.

q.

I understand the sentiment, but with this release there's too much that I've been waiting for to follow that approach. Either way, I've run two versions in parallel before, covers for most issues.

General Board / Version 16 release date estimation?
« on: January 26, 2022, 10:00:50 am »
Since Sparx seems to be very unwilling to respond to e-mails about this, I'll try here: does anyone have an estimation/expectation on the release date of version 16.0? It's the release that contains a lot I've been waiting for a few years, so I'm 'mildly' interested in upgrading...

Hello community,

Let's see if there's any help here for the following.

As much as it is archaic, I still have customers who want specification documents instead of clickable models and web sites.
That's fine, since we can generate them from EA, but reviewing different versions is a pain.

What options do we have to solve the following:

* Change tracking on diagrams, in such way that the changes are marked using MS Word change tracking
* Change tracking in Linked Documents exists in EA, but the tracked changes are not exported as such when including the document in a generated report

I know it's possible (see tutorial on Community web site) to compare the generated docs and mark the differences as changes, but that's limited to the text and either skips the diagrams or marks them all as changes.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

Angelo
