Hi ,

I have some resource documents. Each document is mapped to a specific RTF template. I want to create a hyperlink at my model's home page for document generation, say one hyper link for one resource document/one template. Is this possible?

Hi,

is there a way to output notes field of a tag in RTF tempalte. I can genrate tag value using <valueof> in RTF template. Some of my tag values are large text and i store them in note field of tag value.

General Board / RTF Generation is failing

Hi guys,

I am using EA/7.5. I have developed some RTF templated which were working fine. Now suddenly all templates are giving error as follows-

1 - Error invalid input syntax for integer : proposed , error while executing query  (Microsoft ole db provider)

2 - ADOB.Recordset - Operation is not allowed when the object is closed

3 - Document generation failed..

All other operation of EA are working fine...for example creation of new elements, setting up relationship or modifcation of existing eleemnt. Only RTF generation got these errors...


there is no recent change in EA and our model whatsoever.....

Also creating a template with static statement only...kind of 'hello world'  works...

Sorry for not being clear in my question.

So I have a class ( say class1). This class defines some operations ( say Op1 , Op2 etc). Each operation may have its own sequence diagram as well.

I need to setup relationship of these operations to other model elements. For example op1 to XsdSchema elements or Op1 to a information type item. I would like to know how to do this and what is UML's say about mapping operations ( op1(), op2()....) to other UML elements.

I am currently trying to figure out relationship for operations of a class however I dont UML approach for the same.

So, to which models/elements these opeartions should be linked to and if EA proivides facility to link operations using relationship matrix.

General Board / letf & right arrow key have reversed direction

Hi ,

I am generating MS Word reprots from EA/7.5 RTF templates. Sometimes some table rows in the generated document display scrambled word and in this case left and right arrow keys change direction also. Left arrow moves cursor to right and right arrow moves it to left.

This problem does not appear every time. I mean running the same tempalte for the same package also but this problem comes only few times..

General Board / How to stop bookmark in RTF generation

Hi,

EA RTF templates generates reports with bookmarks. I dont want these bookmark to be generated. Though I can use MS-Word setting so that bookmark are not displayed however my requirement is not to have bookmark in generated document.

Is there a way guys........Thanks a lot

Thanks for your answer. I am using EA/Corporate/7.5. Do you think this script grouping/packages feature is available in this edition of EA. I have tried and found nothing like that.

Hi,

I have some vbscripts that work fine. I want to release them to model authors specially for document generation team. Currently I am executing scripts by opening them and clicking run button provided in EA within vbscript editor.

Is there any simpler way to call these scripts?
