General Board / Find usage of a class as attribute
« on: September 17, 2010, 09:20:48 pm »
Hi All,

how can I find out if a class is used as attribute by another class? Relationships and other dependencies can be fond at the element view but I was not able to find anything for usage as attribute there. Thanks in advance and

General Board / Re: Using AndroMDA
« on: July 02, 2009, 04:15:37 am »
Thx midnight.
I used the search function on the right named 'Search the forum' which do not list this thread sorry.

AndroMDA uses own Stereo Types and delivers a MagicDraw Profile as base for modeling. I was not able to read this into EA. I was wondering if somebody else already did it successful.
In the post you reported it looks like somebody was able to export models for AndroMDA so I will start trying this.

best regards,

Guido

General Board / Restrict read access to repository packages
« on: April 18, 2008, 04:50:00 am »
Hi All,

I would need a kind of security. I studied the docs already. What I am missing is to restrict read access to packages. Only groups or userers should be allowed to access packages of a repository. In security docs I found that I can restrict update, export etc. but not restriction of read access. There is another task about organizing huge repositories. Maybe that dividing the repository is the solution. My problem in this case would be that the same svn xmi export would be accessed by several db repositories. Has anybody experience with this kind of version control and repository separation?
Thanks in advance and

best regards,

Guido

General Board / Batch modification of models
« on: November 12, 2007, 08:41:58 am »
Hi,

i would like to add a new tagged value to my requirements. Is there a way to do this in a batch run? Is it possible to run skrips with EA? I only found documentation about transformations but what I would like to doo is different, isn't it?

best regards,

Guido

Update

A few Seconds after sending I found the menue:

Element->Add tagged value

which does exactly I asked for, sorry for that. However, is every other automated modification then a transformation?
Maybe I should check the rest of the Element menue.
Still I am interested in if scripts can be run with EA.

General Board / Re: Import of root nodes from SVN
« on: November 13, 2007, 05:09:15 am »
Hi,

won't work because the content of the node is at the version control system. If I would move the content I would lose all version information, won't I? Without svn you are right.
This is th reason why I can not pull the node to root level after importing, EA refuse this.

Hi,

when creating a new package there is the popup. When importing there is no additional popup, the package imported from SVN is alway under the currently selected package. I was not able to select no package. Maybe there is another way to get to the menu item without using the context menu and I havn't found it yet.

Guido

Hi,

thanks for the help. I think I will change my models to avoid root nodes. This won't be too much effort and seems to be the right way to act with nodes.

Hi,

I used "Package Control->Get Package" under project browser.
The package then is always under the selected node. I was not able to get the command without selecting a node so I can not import at root level. I did not use the import from xmi.

Guido

General Board / Import of root nodes from SVN
« on: November 07, 2007, 04:58:19 am »
Hi All,

I try to import from SVN as root node. What I easily can get is :

RootNode_1
   |
   -RootNode_To_Import

what I would like to get is:

-RootNode_1
-RootNodeTo_Import

How can I import Nodes on root level? Creating and adding to version control was easy to manage.

Thanks in advance and best regards,

Guido

General Board / upper letters in getter setter for properties
« on: September 07, 2007, 07:13:45 am »
Hi,

if've got a simple code generation problem. I would like to generate code which fullfill the java coding standard.
Let's say the attribute name is foo then EA generates:

int getfoo()

I would like to get a getter (setter) like

int getFoo()

Where and how can I configure this upper letter? I found out that I can modify the prefix at

tools->options->code generation options->java

There the prefix is only 'get' and 'set'. Can I configure upper letters there?

thanks in advance and best regards,

Guido
