We are exploring some of the other features of EA and in particular using the system to document our test cases and bugs/defects.  The trouble is, as only our designers have EA,  our testers would have to work from a report and then the designers would have to enter the results back into EA.

The EALite version already exists, which allows anyone to read the models but I really would like to be able to get our testers to enter their results and bugs directly within EA.  As far as I can see, that means I would have to buy them all a desktop version of EA which doesn't make financial sense.

An EATester or Maintenance version would allow users to enter test results and bug reports.

Just a suggestion.

I've retried the links and now they seem to update okay.  I wonder if I accidentally removed the link at the same time I removed the Use Case  :-/

Put this down to user error but I will keep my eyes open.

Pity there isn't a short cut - right click on the note to pick an item to link to.  Anyway thanks for the replies.

Thanks for the quick response.  Do you know a quicker way of associating the Note to a Scenario rather than having to put the Use Case on the diagram just to make the link?

General Board / Linking Notes to Scenario

I'm trying to set up my sequence diagrams using the Iconix approach.  As such, my sequence diagram needs to have the scenario showing on the left hand side.  The way I've done this is to add Notes to the sequence diagram, drag the associated Use Case on to the diagram, and then connect the Note to the Use Case and finally use "Link this Note to an Element Feature" in the connector's context menu.  I don't want the Use Case on the diagram, so I remove it; I only added it so I could make the Note link to the scenario.  The problem is, the Note is no longer updated if I change the scenario text in the Use Case.  Also, this is a long winded way to associate the Note with the scenario.  

Does anyone have a better way to do this?

General Board / Testing problems

I am using EA to record our test results but think there are a couple of bugs.

Spelling.
The Results field in the Execution part of the test details does not get checked by the Spell Checker.  

RTF Reports
I can't seem to get the status Filter to work with the test cases.  If I set it to not like Pass I still get all the passed tests in the report of test cases.
