General Board / Re: Working with Replicas over FTP?
« on: February 03, 2011, 09:03:14 am »
FTP is a protocol for uploading and downloading of files.  It's not designed to act like a network file system (SMB, NFS, CIFS, etc).

I would use MYSQL in conjuction with the WAN Optimizer (http://www.sparxsystems.com/resources/corporate/index.html#wan).
If you also check the "Lazy load" option when creating the connection (In Enterprise Architect), this allows for good preformance on most connections.

Its appears to be a dependency with a stereotype of "trace".

Do you know if this new feature means that I will be able to embed diagrams in a linked document directly without first having to save them to a file?
If want the image a Linked Document, then you will have to save it to file first.  If you want it in a generated RTF report, you just need to enabled the Matrix section.

Try.
Right click on the element, and select "Created Linked Document".
Then insert your image into this document.
Generate an RTF Document.

On an Element, create a linked document and insert the image (via menu Insert -> Link image).

No, not weird.

The currently bahaviour of the engine is to only process child elements if the parent has been included.
