I second that!

Having a rich text editor in notes and scenario notes will be a great enhancement to EA.

Thank you for your quick help Dav,

I followed the instruction that were mentioned in previous replies and I ended up having a dialog box asking me to locate the binary module to be imported. Now the question is do you know where is the VB.NET library file?  ???

TIA

General Board / Importing the structure of .NET framework

Good day,

I want to build my class diagrams. Some of my classes inherits from built in .NET framework classes like Form, Collection, Hashtable, ... etc.

Is it possible to import the structure of the framework's classes to be used in my diagrams?

Uml Process / How to Generate Code from Sequence Diagrams?
« on: September 14, 2005, 03:58:27 am »
Hi,

I have all my class diagrams ready, and I have most of the sequence diagrams ready. Some of the sequence diagrams represent specific operations from the classes. That code that I get generated do not take sequence diagrams in account at all.

My question is: how can I tell EA that a specific sequence diagram belongs to a specific operation in a class? And how can I convert it to code, either using MDG or the normal code generator?

Please advice

Thank you Simon, the reverse engineering feature is working fine now after spending some time investigating.

Yes I was talking about the MDG for VS.NET. When I go to the resources view tab->MDG Technology->Import Technology, it prompts me for the location of an XML file. What is that file and where it should be located?

I still don't know what value the MDG tech adds.

Automation Interface, Add-Ins and Tools / Need help in Code Engineering
« on: August 09, 2005, 07:10:53 am »
Hi ...

I'm having difficulties in code engineering (especially reverse). My understanding was if I generated code from EA to VB.NET then if I update anything from VB then it should reflect the EA diagrams, but it is not doing.
I've downloaded the MDG for VB but I wasn't able to use it. It is asking me for an XML file that I don't know where it should be. The online help wasn't so helpful.

Please help
