With a native SQL client you are still able to ship around any of EA's security features with ease.

How to prevent user from executing EA scripts using SQL?

I made these tables read-only (set only SELECT permission):
- t_script
- t_secpolicies
- t_secgroup
- t_secusergroup
- t_secgrouppermission
- t_secuserpermission
but this is the only "MySQL security" I have.

I have very limited user that has only two permissions:
- Export XMI
- Generate Documents
He can't remove package or element in "standard" way, but he can do it from script.

How to block it or (at least) block script execution for that user?

I never found anyone who could explain why someone wants to hide model parts from others.

We have main (and only) EA database. Access to the database have permanent employees.
Now we have a few temporary workers and they have to have access to EA database, but only to one specified package (and to "common" package with data types and other common stuff).
The only solution is another database?

Is there any way to hide some packages from some users or user groups?
I know that I can create another database, but this is nasty workaround.
PS I have EA v12.1.1230.

Same with diagram elements:

I wish EA had an option "Lock own/child elements" and when I lock diagram (by moving an element) all diagrams element should be locked.

Just for your information, I defined a new theme on EA version 12 (build 1215), and I can see diagram_themes.xml file at the folder.

If only update to v12 (from v11) was free...

It's saved to %appdata%\Sparx Systems\EA\diagram_themes.xml

Bump it again.
I have EA v11.1.0.1113 and no *theme*.xml file (even *.xml file) in mentioned directory.
I've found sth connected with EA themes in Windows registry, but can't make it work.

So there is no way to export/import EA themes? :|

PS
Exporting it (and more) to *.reg file and then importing that *.reg on another computer doesn't change EA theme :/

I set theme in EA (fonts, colors, ...) and now I want each and every user to have exactly the same theme (fonts, colors, ...).

How to export theme (and then import it on other EA installations)?

General Board / XML in Unicode - Have to change Code Page?

I have code page set to windows-1252:
Options -> XML Specs -> Code Page = windows-1252 (default)
and I want all XMI exports to be in Unicode (UTF-8).

Should I have to change it to utf-8 (or utf8?)?

General Board / Dead lock auto-remove

We have EA 11 with "Security" enabled and "Require User Lock to Edit" unchecked.
When user lock diagram and computer will crash (e.g. bluescreen) or put machine into sleep mode, the lock is still applied.

Is there any way to auto-remove this kind of locks?
Or make other users to be able to remove this kind of locks without "manage lock" permission?

When I move element on diagram the diagram is automatially locked (blue exclamation) and other users cannot move elements on that diagram, but they can edit those elements.

When I change package/elment/diagram I want it to be locked with all descendant / child elements.
Is this possible?

Can I do it with "Require User Lock to Edit"?

How to add user by vb-script?

By "add" I mean:
 - add user with login, name, surname, dept
 - set user password
 - add user to specific group

Is this possible?
