General Board / Link or Instance: how to set the option

In EA v6, I used to automatically create links when dragging items such as classes onto sequence diagrams. Now in v9.3 instances are created instead without the initial choice. How do I set to 'create a link' and not 'create an instance' for this or all objects?

General Board / Activity generalisation

Hello

I've found it useful to generalize use cases but activities cannot be generalized. For instance I have three types of film editing activities, one with each of 3 pieces of software, montage 1, 2 and 3. But these are all 'montage' and I would like to represent them as specializations of the montage activity. Should I be using use cases? Thanks

Hello. How does EA deal with Business Process Modelling. I have an old version (v6) which includes some notation, but I'm trying to compare with Aris which uses controls, risks, processes, macros processes and activities.

Does EA v9 deal with this? Tx

Hello

I use EA quite a bit for analysis v6.1.790. However when I export a project to HTML, the front page is empty. Please see http://mjl-it.com/site/ for an example. I only get text in the right hand pane when I click on something in a left hand pane. Is it possible that on arrival at the URL that the first page (index.htm) contains text and where do I put it in my project. Many thanks. Mark

Hello. I have a kind of related question: When using the document to html feature, there is no 'front page'. I get a page with 3 frames, the left 2 for navigation, but I would like, when opening index.html to display and inroduction page. What document would this be in my project? Thanks in advance.

Hello.

Unfortunately I know nothing about UML, object methods or how to use EA. I'm from a relational background and use DFDs and ERDs (SSADM) so am completely bewildered.

How do I get into this thing? Should I try activity diagrams, Use cases, requirements diagrams or should i pull out a large gun and shoot myself?

I have a problem displaying case models online. Perhaps something has changed in the navigator because they used to work. Basically the left panel does not display

Thanks for that but this does not seem to work. If I do that for a use case for example. The next use case I drag onto a diagram show the link / instance choice dialog again. The default seems to be individual for a UC not for all objects

In v9.3. How can I ensure that only links are created of objects when dragging onto diagrams, not instances?

P.S. Why would I create instances?
