Suggestions and Requests / Find and Replace
« on: May 06, 2005, 05:47:32 pm »
Hi guys,

I'd like to request a find and replace feature which could be used across all or parts of the model. For example, when I change the name of an Actor in my use-case model, I want to be able to change all instances of that name in my scenarios as well.

I'm not going so far as to request full model refactoring but, you know, if your not busy and you quite fancy a challange ;)

i guess what i'd really like is to be able to use some sort of token i.e $glossary:itemname$ so that when the document is generated the token is replaced by the value stored in the glossary. and yip a rich text editor would be very nice :)

General Board / Automatically insert Glossary entries
« on: March 06, 2007, 10:17:06 am »
Hi guys,

I have a fair number of items in my glossary. Rather than making lots of "see Glossary" style comments throughout my scenarios, I'd like to be able to include the actual glossary item. Is it possbible to have EA insert the referenced glossary automatically?

Cheers,

Pete

Hi Guys,

Another simple question from the new guy.

How do I find and replace across the whole of my use-case model. i.e change actors names in my use-cases scenarios.

Currently, I can Edit->Find to locate them but am having to make the changes by hand.

Hi thomas, cool suggestion. Unfortunately when I print the documentation I get the original icon and not the image I replaced it with. Do you think I did something wrong?

Hi guys,

I've finsihed my use-case model and want to link some prototype screens to each one. I have the images already so whats the best way to include them in the model and to make sure they are included in the documentation,

General Board / Order Use-Case in Documentation
« on: May 02, 2005, 02:19:37 pm »
Hi Guyz,

Is there any way to order the use-cases in the output documentation? I've packed them all up nicely to make it easier to deal with but alphabetical isn't good for me. Can I assign them and index value or something similar?

Cheers,

Pete (aka lad4bear)

Hi guys,

I'm sure I saw an EA plugin for Coldfusion Development but am having trouble tracking it down. Does anybody know where I can find it?

Cheers,

Thanks Bruno, I didn't think of it that way. I won't handle it this way on this occasion but will definately keep it in mind for the future.
