Hi,

I want to add some notes to a class diagram. The only way I can find to do this is by attaching a note to an association.

Is there a way to create a note that is not attached to an element? Or some other kind of text box?

Hans

Jason,

Thanks. You saved me again  :D.

Do you know if I also can hide the class name if I am using instances?

General Board / Hide package name and type in deployment diagram

Hi,

I have a deployment diagram with objects from different packages. E.G: I have a package "Communication" which has components "Pipeline" and "Receiver". Another package is "Console" with components "Controller" and "Display"

If I put instances of all of them into a deployment diagram EA labels them like "Communication::MainReceiver::Receiver".

For my diagram I would much rather just get "MainReceiver" and don't show the package name and the type of the element.

Is there a setting to do that?

Thanks

Hans

Jason,

Thanks. I have sent you an E-mail. And I'll report it to Sparx.

General Board / Multiple instances of the same package in diagram

Hi,

I am trying to model a distributed system. In this system we have one PC that controls 1 to n client PCs.

I have created a package for the main PC and one for the client PC. After creating a component diagram I was able to create several instances of the client package there. I could also use a 1...* association but I figured it's clearer to have several instances of the package in the diagram.

After closing the project and reloading all but one instance of the client package are gone.

The question is:
- Should EA not have allowed the multiple instances at first?

or

- Was there a bug reloading the project?

Thanks

Hans
