We have one EAP file that contains all the diagramms. This file is in the network share folder.
Now I would like to give acces to this file to my colleagues but also I must provide at the same time the ability to lock diagramms or the whole package, if
necessary. How could I do this, if EA does not provide a version control tool?Any ideas, please? We use Visual Source Safe as version control tool in our company.

Hi,
For many years now we have EA Professionnel Edition. Actually, we want to use it now for requirements engineering in order to replace our Word documents.
Please note that we do not yet share any EA projects.
--> Questions
Does anybody have already some experience in this area of EA?
Are there any limitations?
Is it possible to run a search (eg. by requirements status) through the complete project structure and all the projets?

--> Questions about Corporate Edition
Would you recommend that we upgrade our license to the Corporate Edition?
And if yes, is it possible to extend (for example: to add some tables) the DB for its integration in other internal tools?
Where can I receive additional information on the user management in Corporate
Edition?
What is the principle of locking?
Is it possible to set a lock on the diagramms' level?

What's the right method for creating messages with associated number groups in a communication diagram?

I tried the message from the Interaction toolbox but it didn't work.

Hi,

I noticed a difference between help file and EA application.

In the help file you can read:
Enterprise Architect allows you to highlight particular message flows in a Communication diagram using different colors for each message set.
To highlight the colors in a Communication diagram, follow the steps below:
1. Open the Tools | Options dialog and go to the Communication Colors tab.
....

And in the EA application you only have the Collaboration Colors tab.

Remark: I installed the last build 780 of EA

But it's impossible to connect an activity (or an action) to the exception handler.

EA means that's not UML compliant!

Where ca I find the Exception Edge in EA?

For your information:
An exception edge is a type of activity edge drawn as a lighting bolt. It connects the executable node that is being protected by an exception handler to an exception input node on the border of the exception handler.

How can I generate a package diagram (easier to read as a class diagram) from my C# solution?
