General Board / Re: CVS support

Wh EA supports SCC you can use one of the SCC to cvs interface to support a cvs repository.

Chek out wincvs.org for links to  Jalindi-Igloo and other scc/cvs tools.
I have managed to get this to work inthe past.
I also highly recommend tortoise cvs http://www.tortoisecvs.org
a windows filemanager addin of rcvs integration.

In the meantime you could use XML export as a document suitable for cvs usage.  The EA database is binary and is not really 'revision control' frinedly.

Cheers,
  Gerrit.

General Board / Re: Code Generating
« on: September 17, 2002, 09:21:54 pm »
as documented/suggested, the xml export srtyle sheets can be used for code generation.
I created such a style sheet to generate php code.
The caveate is that for all dependacies to be resolved, a full export need to be done.
I based my xslt sheet on.

http://www.objectsbydesign.com/projects/xmi_to_html.html

Which transforms xmi to html.
You could also look at a sourceforge project on this:-

http://sourceforge.net/projects/xsl4xmi

I found cooktop v2 to be a good & free tool for xslt process experiments and development.
EA uses microsoft v3 xlst engine.
Cheers,
 Gerrit.

General Board / xml export stylesheet xslt engine
« on: September 05, 2002, 05:14:49 pm »
Hi Folks,
I have tried to use an xslt style sheet during an xml export and crashed EA.

The stylesheet works using gnu xslt under unix.

Which version of which xslt libaray is needed by EA to to the xslt tranform.

I used cooktop v2 under windows to develope the style sheet and found many differences between the capabilities of the various transofrm engines.

thanks in advance,
  Gerrit.
