We were facing the same problem (or rather nightmare) with 6.1.786.

It is fixed in the later versions, we used 790 and is works fine.

This is what I tried

Select the association to be deleted -> "Del" key ->  "Remove connector" popup appears -> Delete the connector from the model and checkin.

get Latest from another machine. Association "Deleted" on other machine still appears.

General Board / Deleting links in Use cases - Not working on CVS

Our EA model is version controlled and used by multiple users across different locations.

While addition of associations (or other links) in a Use case diagram is reflected to other users, the same is not happening on "Deletion" of use case relationships.

So when the associations are deleted on a use case diagram and changes "checked in" the change is not reflected on other users' model (on get Latest).

Is this a known Bug? or something we might be missing

General Board / How to share stereotypes in Version controlled mod

Our EA model is version controlled and we have multiple users. Certain elements of the model like stereotypes, Issues etc are not shared with other users, is there're a way to share these elements along with the model packages? or a way to version control the packages?

Hello Tim,

We use the same functionality "get all latest" and it works fine. Only It takes some time depending on the network speed or size of the version controlled packages.

Either wait for some time and allow the operation to complete or break your version controlled packages into smaller ones and try out.

General Board / Multilingual Sequence diagrams

The business analysts of a software product that we're developing are well conversed in a western european language, but not in English. While we create sequence diagrams in English.  Our Sequence diagrams represent business knowledge

Is there a way in Enterprise architect where we (ofcourse after having done the translation manually) can switch on / off a particular language? e.g. we could turn on language 1 when we're working and language 2 when it's under review by the Business analysts. Tags are helpful in the sense that they can be switched on or off but they work only till the class level, no option to define tags for messages/operations.

Use case Model to Class model typically involves a few steps (usually done manually) and a single Use case model can result into several different class/Object models depending on the perspective, when analysed in detail.

So even if we talk about generating the class model it would typically be a "option overloaded wizard - Engine" if it is to produce some worthwhile results.

General Board / Version control: messages lost in Sequence diagram

We're using version control for our model

1. Using CVS to version control
2. The lowest level packages have been controlled.
3. The models are private to the users

It all works fine till a user makes a change in 1 package and the changes are loaded by another user, the changes are reflected.

If however a user makes a change in 2 packages simultaneously, say a sequence diagram and corresponding classes. The Sequence and classes are in different packages. When any user other than the one who made the change tries to load these packages, the messages in the sequence diagrams are missing. An explicit "Get latest" has to be done to load the latest changes. Why is this so? Is there anything we might have missed

We're using 6.1.786
