The light has just come on!

I did what you said and it worked ok. What I was doing was dragging a new requirement into the lower diagram AND NOT naming it. I just accepted the default names e.g. Requirement1, Requirement2, etc. I normally wouldn't do that, but while experimenting I took the defaults just to be quick.

Now that I am renaming them it works. Thanks for helping me with this.

Thanks for your reply.

By opening, do you mean re-opening the entire project file? That works for me, but I don't see why that should be necessary. I can do this by using File - Reload.

I tried double clicking on the upper level diagram to re-open the diagram but it makes no difference. It does not update to reflect the fact that I have added a new requirement to the diagram.

I'm using Rel 7.1

This is a newbie question. I have a diagram containing a requirements package. The Requirements package has its own diagram.

In the project browser it looks like this:

Functional Requirements (package)
    Functional Reqs (diagram)
    Purchasing Requirements (package)
        Purchasing Reqs (diagram)

If I add new requirements by dragging them onto the Purchasing Reqs diagram, the requirements don't immediately appear in the next level up, i.e. Functional Reqs diagram. However, if I close the model and then re-open it, the requirements do appear.

Is there any way to get the diagrams (at levels above) to dynamically update? Or is there a menu command to 'refresh' diagrams at levels above the current diagram?

I hope I've described this well enough. Thanks.
