Hi Geert, its Geert here

I reckon Sparx needs to go social and implement a crowdsourced support type solution, allowing everyone to not anly ask questions and answer to help fellow EA'ers but also double as an "ideation" solution where everyone can submit ideas and vote for other' ideas.  Another use would be of course a way to submit and follow up bugs.  I am thinking products like useresponse.com or if Sparx is willing to go full-scale social, platforms like Jive Software etc would be something to consider

I reckon its really time Sparx gives this website a refresh.

At the same time it would be a good idea to take the opportunity to replace this forum (the search really sucks and it lacks social features) and replace it with some crowd support tool like UseResponse http://www.useresponse.com/ or any of its alternatives

Anyhow, just my 2 cents

Hmm, that is not acceptable as the installation is done in bulk via an installation package and I doubt a workaround like that will be accepted.

When installing EA10 and a previous version is detected the installation process displays an upgrade warning which allows an automatic uninstall of EA8.  Does this also work smoothly for EA7.5?  Are there any known problems doing this?  Can EA10 open EAP files created by 7.5 and 8?

I did a search and could not really find anything other than that a beta version can run alongside a previous version of EA.  Can EA 10 be installed on the same machine with an older version like 7.5, 8 or 9?

Yes the old IE6   it is surprising and sad really to see how much IE6 is still used as the standard (and often only) browser in big corporate organizations or government departments.

Don't get me wrong, if it were up to me we'd be at 9.2 already but some organizations don't just upgrade because there is a new version.  We use it mainly for creating BPMN, Use Case, Activity and the occasional State Chart diagram.

I have never managed to get the RTF generation to generate what we would need but thats another question.  What are the RTF generation improvement between those versions?
