General Board / How to color portions of a life line
« on: December 17, 2009, 06:53:27 am »
I am working with a colleague who has experience with Borland's Together. When building a Sequence Diagram with Together, it is possible to add color to portions of the life line. So message 1.1 through 1.6 can all be colored one color on a life line and 1.0 and 1.7 on can be colored differently. In other words, portions of a life line can be colored differently from the rest of the life line.

We are trying to do the same thing with EA with no luck. The mechanism is used to show new or changed functionality in a diagram from one version to the next.

Anyone got any ideas on how to do this?

Thanks Geert.

I was kind of hoping someone else may already have done that work.  ;)

General Board / ETOM and Enterprise Architect
« on: December 09, 2009, 07:34:47 am »
Hi all,

The company that I am working at is evaluating Enterprise Architect for use company wide. The company is in the telecommunications business and is particularly interested in using ETOM (Enhanced Telecommunications Operation Map) as the basis for its modelling.

I am interested to know if anyone is using EA with ETOM and whether there are available templates to support it?

Thanks,
Bruce

Bugs and Issues / MDG Link for Visual Studio 2010 on x64
« on: June 16, 2011, 07:39:34 am »
Hi all,

I am running 64 bit VS2010 Ultimate on Windows 7 Ultimate with EA 9 build 906 and MDG Link for VS. When I try and connect a project using the Add-In menu, EA crashes every time.

I have a hunch this is because EA is a 32-bit product trying to talk to a 64-bit version of Visual Studio, but I am not sure of this.

Can someone confirm if I am correct, and if the only solution is to install VS2010 32-bit?
