How to do a feature request?
I am yet but a trail user, can I do feature requests?

Suggestions and Requests / Add timing constraints between messages

I am currently toying around with the sequenze diagramm. It seems to me that there is no way to add a timing constraint between two messages.
That is message 2 will start 5 secs after message 1

Suggestions and Requests / Re: Link States into the sequenz diagramm

Being quite new to this UML stuff, I just found this thing in a book, and was wondering whether it would be usefull on a later project of mine.

Anyway - I mean StateInvariant.
but digging through the UML Specification, to find a passage - sorry

Suggestions and Requests / Link States into the sequenz diagramm

I am still toying around with the sequenz diagramm.
It seems to me that UML allows to add a state of a class into the sequenz diagramm. This would act as a constraint, in the way, that the message can only be send, if the sender is in the given state.

I have not seen a way to add a state object for the state diagramm into the sequenz diagramm. (One could enter a note, but it appears that I am a fan of tracebility)

Uml Process / Difference between partition and Swimlane
« on: September 21, 2007, 03:31:55 am »
Within an activity diagramm I can add a partition as an object and allocate other objects (i.e. Actions and Activites) to it.
On the other hand I can colour the background using the context menue to "configure a swimlane"

I can not see the difference between these to methodes to the end of structuring the activity diagramm, to see which Actor is doing what, looking for to many hand overs and the like.

Uml Process / Convert an Action to a Activity
« on: September 21, 2007, 04:01:48 am »
While working on an Activity Diagramm, I noticed that I want to further detail an action. Therefore I would like to transform it into an activity, which I can model in an other activity diagramm.

Oblivious I can just cut out the action, and enter a new activity, but in that process I loss all linked elements.

I there a better way?
