We currently have a web application that uses the Automation interface to access sparx db.

Hi All,
 
         My team is having an issue with windows popping up upon instantiating new stereotype classe objects from the resource profile with an auto popup window to enter a new name for the object and a second window to generate coe which is not required. I am looking at how I can disable the windows, I believe its in there somewhere however I will be grateful for anyone who can point me to it quickly.

Thanks a lot Simon for your response, the version I'm after is version 1.6, please what do you mean by the "control itself" and what version is it? and yes, I am reffering to the RTF Specification, would be grateful to know the version of the RTF Specification that sparx supports.

General Board / Sparx Generated HTML Output Link to page ability

Hello All,

                 I just want to ask for any insight regarding an issue faced recently, I would love to kow if there is way to have a direct link to a specific part of the generated HTML Output from a sparx model. Every page seems to stay within the index.html page upon navigation. This has stopped a project that could have used the output simply because in answering questions, a link to specific page cannot be sent to respond to questions.

Will be glad to have some insight to how this could be possible or if it is not.

 My profile updates are actually very infrequent, this current update I am doing is the first time in about 6months, I had experienced this issue before but at that point the repository is quite small so I did some manual adjustments, however at this point the repositroy has expanded and I can no longer do what i did before, i currently use sparx 10.  I will be grateful to know more about the little caveats in applying profile changes to a repository other than how I know at this time. Still trying to see what's causing the partial instance sync.

Hi All,

         I will be grateful to get any insight into this issue I am having. Each time I import an updated project profile and then perform the "Sync tagged values and constraints" function on the repository elements, Some of the instances would not get the updated tagged value why some will, I investigated the ones that dont and cant seem to know why they dont get it, it is a shared repository where other people instantiates objects from the profile. I have investigated why that happens but still cant seems to figure out why. I also tried making sure everyone has closed the repository but to no avail.

Any insight will be very helpful and appreciated.

So found out it was a profile version issue, I had initially deployed the profile via MDG which puts the profile in the %APPDATA% locally, however I later used an upload approach into the profile in the resource window which doesnt override the previously deployed version using the MDG Import which inserts the profile in the local machine, hence whenever I tried to instantiate new object it goes into %APPDATA% and uses the version there. So I removed that version and was now able to get all the newly added attributes on the new instances.

Lesson Learned: MDG profile version overides manually uploaded profile into resource window, hope this helps someone later.

Yes q, thats true, mixed up files in that regards, ok, thanks, will head back to the issue with the new TVs added to a profile and then uploaded to apply to the working repository, only for me not to see the newly added TVs when i create a new instance of the object. still hoping to have this cleared out.

Thanks a lot qwerty, thats a good point you brought up there, The profile is set to active but one thing I noticed is that whenever I try to upload a MDG MTS file, the selectable files are only xml, could this mean that MDG mts files are restricted?  or turned off in the configurations? this might be what is causing the problem I am having.

Thanks for your reply qwerty, my current sparx version is version 10.0.0.1007. It was working before but stopped working for me all of a sudden.
