PCS Release Plan
« on: August 31, 2023, 01:42:24 am »
I reported a bug earlier in the year against PCS related to the EA-Jira field mappings used when data is pushed from EA to Jira.

I have since been trying to find somewhere that documents when bugs are programmed for remediation/release (eg. a release plan).

If such a thing exists for PCS could someone kindly direct me to it?

For reference the bug ticket is 23065175

Can a moderator enlighten me on the nature of this forum?

My understanding was that it would be a place to get some direct feedback from those able to provide support at SS eg. SMEs, product owners/managers, tech resources, moderators etc.
Have I assumed incorrectly and it is merely a place for the "community" to help each other?

I ask because when I look back on the 5 or so pages of posts in the forum I see many in the same boat as this one. Many many views with 0 replies.

This is not the first place I have reached out to SS to get information on the bug Im interested in, nor sadly is it the first place my request has been met with deafening silence.
Several support emails simply asking when I can expect this bug to be resolved go nowhere and receive no response.

Im not even asking for a fix, just to know when. It is extremely disappointing from my perspective as this feature which is broken, is presented as a working part of the product and was indeed one of the main reasons we handed over money for licenses. Since then the integration between EA and JIRA using PCS has sat in the best state we could get it to delivering on neither its promise or potential.

Hi jiraguy12345,

I am not the moderator here, but this is a community forum and not a place where we can get official support from the support team.
Some Sparx people sometimes participate in discussions, but basically they are not official support. (But I have seen somewhere that Sparx engineers watch these discussions and use them as one of the sources to provide better products).

We need to ask to the official support email or website if we need an official answer to some questions and/or requests.

Usually we can get an answer in a couple of days or a week, but I know that if our email server setting is wrong, their mail server might reject emails from our email server. So it is an option to send from another email address with your reference number if you cannot receive any answer from them.
