Interoperability with click to run (C2R) oledb drivers

Previously, EA could make use of the OLEDB drivers provided by MS Access but that only seems to have been possible with the conventional MSI packages of MS Office / Access. Now Office & Access are often installed via the click to run (C2R) installers and whilst EA can find the drivers it doesn't appear to be able to use them and throws an error. Is this something that is fixable by Sparx or is this down to the way that the drivers are exposed in the C2R installations?
