Relationship matrix does not update properly
« on: May 26, 2010, 08:07:02 am »
EA 7.5.844

I am modelling requirements (requirements & features) and so in my Business Rules I have all the requirements (Functional) and then there is another folder called Features that contains only Feature diagrams.

The features I map to the corresponding Requirement they satisfy by means of a Relationship Matrix which I use to set the relationship.

Source:  Feature
Source Type: Feature
Link Type: Realization

Target: Business Rules
Target Type: Requirements
Direction: Source to Target

I then select the Source to Target and in the context menu I select the option to establish an UML:relationship. That works fine.

However, I have noticed than in several ocassions when I add a new requirement or feature, even when I save the corresponding requirement or feature diagram, the Relationship Matrix that is configured (and open) to display this matrix (Feature to Requirements) still does not show the newly added feature object!.

I use the R.M. Refresh button but nothing happens. If on the other hand I play with the Source or Target selections and then go back to select the original source/target configuration (see above) then the newly added feature suddenly appears in the R.M. (with no relationship established, that is expected though). Another workaround is to to switch R.M. profiles (I create and save R.M. profiles in my project).

I think the mechanism to let the R.M. display form know there are new items to place in the R.M. becomes out of sync and is not updated.
