Elements moving from the owning package
« on: November 16, 2014, 08:19:09 am »
In my model, I have an element that was created in a general package, so I can find it and use it in lots of diagrams. However, once I have dragged it into a diagram owned by a different package, EA moves the element from the General package and puts it in the one where the diagram is located.

I have the same problem with other elements, like swimlanes which I have stored in their own package, but once I've added them to a diagram, they are moved to the package where the diagram is.

I'm sure this didn't happen before I installed the latest version of EA, but could be wrong.

Has anyone else had this and what can be done to stop it ?

Hi Ducatiross,

Have you tried like this?
drag the element from general package then ctrl+drop the element into another diagram

choose it as link will help to acheive this.

Nabil, see the link above. This seems to be a BPMN-related bug/feature.
