IDEA: Use Rectangle Notation for Diagrams
« on: January 11, 2007, 10:41:23 pm »
Notes compartment for non-rectangles? mentions that the Use Rectangle Notation is used to control visibility of the Notes compartment for some vertex types.

As a consequence of the advent of the Notes compartment there really needs to be a [  ] Use Rectangle Notation on the Diagram properties dialog to allow the user to preselect the notation  - otherwise every time you add a vertex, you have to toggle it manually.  (You can't select the lot and do it that way... But I'll forget too often and anyway I know what I want to see, let EA do it for me...)

Thoughts? Votes?

Inconsistently correct systems DON'T EXIST!
... Therefore, aim for consistency; in the expectation of achieving correctness....

Yeah, he says reluctantly.

I'd still like the rectangle notation property to be more flexible. That said, I have not (yet?) worked through how this could happen without presenting even more wonderful problems.
No, you can't have it!
