Network Models (AUSDAF compliance)
« on: January 13, 2015, 01:42:43 pm »
We have a need to produce Conceptual, Logical and Physical Network Models in accordance with AUSDAF 2 NetV-1, NetV-2 and NetV-3 Views.

Are there any plans to produce a UPDM MDG Technology that supports AUSDAF 2?

Are there any model templates that provide Network related Elements?

Hi Tony,

I don't myself work for Sparx Systems (in fact, this is primarily user-to-user forum although Sparx representatives are active here as well), so this is not an official response from the supplier. I am, however, an ex-defence industry employee and used to work in that capacity in dear old Oz. :)

My guess is that specific AUSDAF support won't be added to the UPDM MDG Technology, simply because AUSDAF isn't part of UPDM (at least not as of UPDM 2.1, and I'm not aware of any work going on to incorporate it).

If I understand it correctly, Network views are specific to AUSDAF, so I'm afraid finding anything you can substitute within UPDM is also unlikely. Perhaps the simplest way forward is to implement a profile for it yourself.
Or pay a consultant to do it. ;D

My theories are always correct, just apply them to the right reality.
