Doors MDG imports old requirements
« on: March 02, 2007, 05:53:36 am »
Hi, I am using the Doors MDG Tech.

  • I imported a formal module from Doors to EA,
  • I deleted some requirements in Doors in that formal module,
  • I deleted the same requirements in EA,
  • save all,
  • close all,
  • reimport the same formal module in EA

==> the deleted requirements are imported again in EA (Note: those requirements do not exist anymore in the current version of the formal module in Doors)!
Does Doors MDG has some sort of cache or mapping?
How can I avoid this problem?
Thanks.

Ohi... after a reboot it worked properly!
(=deleted requirements in Doors are no more imported)
anyway is not a very nice behavior...

micia,

It sounds possible that the information in DOORS might not be getting completely saved by the time you attempt to import, resulting in EA importing your 'old' data as this may be it's current state on disk.  Have you tried completely closing DOORS and re-opening again before importing?  If the problem still appears, can you please confirm which version of DOORS you are running?
