EA export / import Raquest database loses data
« on: April 10, 2007, 03:19:49 am »
Hi,

We are working with Enterprise Architect 6.5.805 and RaQuest 2.3.043.

We have an .eap file filled with raquest requirements.
After we export this database using EA and import it in another database, the User Defined Attributes of the requirements don't exist any more.

Is this a known error? Is there workaround?

Hello DrillSergeant,

When you import/export your requirements between EAP files,
information of user defined attributes are not copied.

But all the user defined attributes are not deleted. Just
you can't see them on new EAP file.

Easiest way to show again is that you define the same
user defined attributes again on new EAP file.

Hope this helps.

Yep, that did the trick.

Thanks, tkouno!

For other people experiencing this problem too:
The names of the attributes are case sensitive. Be sure that you type the names exactly as in the source database.
