Old notation for components
« on: July 13, 2004, 10:26:06 am »
Hi! I just upgraded from EA 3.x to EA 4.0. I noticed that the components in component diagrams are no longer displayed in the original way. Now they are displayed as full rectangle with a small component icon in the upper-right corner.

Is there a way to go back to the original display format?

Hi kuchhal,

the new rectangle form is the new UML 2.0 notation.
And as far as I know, there is now way to change it back to old notation.

bye

Hello kuchhal,

Please check 'UML 1.5 Components' checkbox
in Objects group, Local Options dialog.

Maybe you'll be happy after checking it.

That did the trick :)). Thank you so much.

Now I can submit my SCEA assignment in a format that Sun expects :)

I presume this is Sun Microsystems - Contributing Member of the OMG.  Good to see them keeping up with the times.
