Version Control - Sharing Packages
« on: January 05, 2006, 06:30:18 am »
Hi

Wondering if anyone can help me achieve the following?  I have a package of base classes that I want to use in more than one EA model (EAP format).  I have the package setup in my version control (QVCS) and have setup one project to have a controlled package for this.  When I try and setup a controlled package in another EAP, I get a dialog telling me the following:

The file 'base classes.xml' is already under version control.  Please choose another filename or click Start Version Control Explorer to purge this file from the provider.

Anyone else out there doing this, or can you only import the package into one model on the workstation?  I'm using EA 6.0 (781), if that makes any difference.

Thanks

Sean

Got it: all you need to do is to import the controlled package.

Sweet! :)
