EA6 on Linux
« on: November 28, 2005, 05:14:36 am »
Hello,

I am using EA6 on gentoo linux with the newest crossover office version, and it works fine.

Still there are some bugs left:

1. display problem with class diagramms
If a method has a behaviour, and "show behavior in diagram" is selected,
the class renders very bad (every method above each other)

2. EA crashes if you click on Report/ Search View

3. EA crashes if you try to create an HTML Report and you click on the "..." button next to the entry field "Output to"

(I reported the first two bugs already, the first one was confirmed by Sparx, the second not yet.)

I just renewed my subscription :)  to get a linux version, where these bugs are fixed.

Any idea, in which timeframe I might expect these bugfixes (the first one is very important for me)?

I assume you already sent bug reports to Sparx?

 Hello,

I just tried version 6.1.

Two Linux bugs were fixed :) :

1. EA crashes if you click on Report/ Search View
2. Printing of State Diagrams

Two are still left:

1. display problem with class diagramms
If a method has a behaviour, and "show behavior in diagram" is selected,
the class renders very bad (every method above each other)

2. EA crashes if you try to create an HTML Report and you click on the "..." button next to the entry field "Output to"

I will report report them one more time to sparx, using the bug form.

It is pity, that there is no bug tracker, where you can see the status
of a reported bug.

Uwe,

I mentioned to the Sparxians (offline) that many one man development shops use freeware bug trackers very successfully...

But then I suppose not only does EA have a Unique Interface, but a Unique Maintenance Process as well...
