Exit/Saving prompts
« on: November 16, 2006, 10:16:00 am »
I regularly work with a lot of diagrams open at any given point and work back and forth between the diagrams and the project browser.

When I EXIT EA, it prompts me for all of the diagrams that I have not explicitly saved.

I would expect that EA simply save ask me to SAVE everything.  I suppose that could be dangerous if you are in the habit of drafting diagrams that you don't expect to keep, but once I 'leave' a diagram to work on other parts of my model, I expect it to be in good condition.

I am just wondering what other people do here.  Do you save each diagram before moving around your model?  Do you think it is odd or annoying to be prompted for all of your opened diagrams?

A bit of a long shot here, but try this.

From Tools | Options | Diagram make sure Zoom to best scale is cleared. Then from the Objects page clear Auto-resize marks diagram 'dirty' and then close the dialog.

This might prevent diagrams you open - even for a peek - from marking themselves as needing to be saved.

If this works you can experiment with checking either of the above options if need be.
No, you can't have it!
