Changing the 'link' in a composite element

I found a post that appears to solve the problem in the same way I have previously - move all diagrams from under the composite element to a temp package, unselect composite element, place your new diagram under the element, select composite element. Then move the other diagrams back under the element. So, this works, but due to another issue with moving seq diagrams out and back into a package (I have another post on this matter) I'm hoping someone has another approach that will change the existing diagram link to another specified diagram within a composite element. i have same problem

i "many time" need use composite diagram link to other section of package  and some time need link current composite element to other exciting diagram

what way to do it ?
