Diagram view resize
« on: March 19, 2008, 09:05:48 pm »
Hi,

I've searched through the docs and in this forum but I didn't find any information about this:

I have created a diagram and during the setup the view has grown. Once I had added all my classes, I moved them around. The result is that the diagram itself only takes 50% of the entire diagram view. Means I can drag the view in the "Pan & Zoom" Panel in a way that my classes are not in view anymore.

Is there a way to resize the pan & zoom area of the diagram?

Thanks,
Stefan

Control-Mouse Scroll Wheel (up or down).   Alternatively, click the 'Fit To View' zoom icon;  it looks like a magnifying glass with an eyeball.

Hi,

thanks for the replies and sorry that I come back so lately on this. I've been on my easter vacations :)

Unfortunately, this is not what I meant. I'm not talking about the view itself. I know that you can zoom this. What I'm talking about is the "working plane" itself. Imagine you have a lot of classes and they are all aligned on the top of your view. The width of the "working plane" is quite big. Now you move your classes around and you get some empty space on the right of your "working plane". How can you reduce your "working plane" to get rid of the empty space on the right?

Hope this explains what I mean...

Stefan

I see your point now...Maybe you can try with page setup to change from A4 to smaller format. You will see the border lines on the right and bottom of the page...Was it helpfull?

Hi,

I looked into this, but I don't think that this is what I need. I got the impression that this is more a printer setup (to trigger how the "working plane" is mapped to an A4 page). Perhaps I simply should put a feature request and see what the guys of sparx systems tell me :)

Have fun,
Stefan
