Yes, Sparx are woeful at communicating with their users.

I've trained hundreds of enterprise and other architects over the last 2 years - they all ask about Sparx and modelling tools.

Pity I can't speak more highly of Sparx across a broader range of business capabilities.

Unfortunately that's the truth (though the missing link here was most likely an accident). In the past (long ago) I always installed new builds being sure to find new useful things. Now I read the release notes being sure to NOT finding corrections of my forty-something reported bugs.

Sorry, i need to disagree with you.

At least for my opint of view and my reported bugs i got fast and good solutions and i'm happy with it.

Well, they fixed the bug regarding the operation parameters that I (and probably others) reported. :)

I know its not ideal, and it could be much better (public issue tracking anyone?) but at least they react and bring out new versions with bug fixes regularly.

Try the same with IBM (Rational), and let met know how that works out ;D.

I usually tell people I like EA best because "in the land of the blind..." :-/

You don't know as you have not been there at that time. But a few years ago they not only resolved all (well almost) issues nearly at once but brought new features as well. Instead of comparing to IBM it should be compared to their former capabilities.

Well, now the ship is full of so many features that the load of bugs is no longer manageable. And that's the real problem. I know it's useless. Cassandra calling...

P.S. Public issue tracking? Forget it. Just try a forum search.

a little bit disappointing that so many bugs i reported for the rtf documentation are not solved after such a long development period
