Cannot find version control menu
« on: June 12, 2012, 08:51:26 am »
I am sure this is a dumb question, but after number of attempts and Google searches, I am still not able to figure it out.

We recently moved our EA database to another server and now I cannot get version control to work.  When I right click on a package, I do not see Package control in the context menu.  When I open the "Project" menu, I do not see Version control there.

This may not be related to the server move, because these options are not available even for local projects.  I suspect a permission issue but I do not even know where to start validating that.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,
Desperate user

What release of EA are you using? If it is one of the latest builds (9.3) then select the View | Workspaces and Commands menu option and the Commands tab and make sure you have the Complete option selected. See if your Version Control options are now visible.

If that doesn't work, post again or send a bug report to Sparx Support.

This View option is one of the easter eggs in EA that has some strange odor.

Thank you for the quick and helpful reply, this was precisely the problem.

I guess it is a good feature to be able to save some options and streamline the UI, but it really got me.
