Entity Stereotype

Why the class diagram is changged to a circle when the stereotype is setted to Entity?

Because of the entity-boundary-control pattern.

I'm not sure if they are "hard-coded" build-in or not, but I would try to remove the stereotypes in Setting|UML Types...

(make sure you don't have any instances still using the stereotype before removing it)

You can disable Icons in the diagram
- right-click on the diagram
- Properties | Elements tab
-  untick [] Use Stereotype Icons
