Documentation - elements from diagram
« on: September 19, 2012, 07:10:24 pm »
Hi

Some time ago I updated from EA 7.5 to EA 9.2 and now I'm unable to generate documentation the way I would like to. Problem is related to linked documents.
In my work I often need to add some tables etc to requirements and I usually do this by adding a linked document. I also sort requirements into different packages according to project/process etc. Also I re-use old requirements.
Now, If I create a requirements diagram and I add requirements from different packages, then I have found no possibility to generate documentation that would include all requirements from the diagram with linked documents. It was possible in EA 7.5, however the template generation has changed.
Is there any possibility to do that in EA 9.2?

Thanks
Teet

With the generation of diagram Elements it is best that you set the:
Package | Diagram |Element - section blank
This will then replicate the format defined in:
Pacakge | Element - section. In this section you can include the Linked Document section.

Thanks, Dermot

This helps. Although it means I have to keep diagrams and elements in different packages as otherwise they would be doubled in documentation. But anyway I have a solution now. Thanks again.
