Override Default Code Templates and export as MDG
« on: April 15, 2009, 08:26:05 am »
My question is the following.  I imported a custom language MDG technology to my project and global.

It comes with several code generation templates and it works great.  However, I have modified the base templates so it generates code as I see fit.  It works and it saves the overrides in my eap project.  However, now I want these templates to be the default ones for ANY project.  I also want to export a new MDG technology and I want it to include all the overrides I did to the code templates.

How in the world do I do this?  I have read all the docs and have no clue how to override the base templates, without me modying the original import xml.

Did you have a chance to look at the "SDK for EA-> MDG Tech is SDK -> Create MDG Technologies->Add Code Modules" section of the help document, this shall facilitate you to include ur template changes to the resultant technology file, on top of the hitherto available templates.
